Earth has Secrets
5:45 in February The sunset But I headed out at 5:35 Birds soaring at the tree level I don't know what type they are But they looked fearless Unlike me The cold stinging my skin Kind of scares me The lack of warmth What if summer never comes back? What if it stays like this? The cold also comforts me Because I know if I can handle the physical pain, I can handle the mental pain. Like the Earth People treat her like crap And she has some rough spots But she is so gorgeous She pushes through so we get the most of her Before she withers away.
