Earth Coming
let the wind dance with all the hair strands that hold the roots in their fastening. let the sun warm your cheeks and bruise them to a cherry. I know the earth enough to carry a conversation as two lovers swing in a moment of tender passion. when it rains, my umbrella strikes, then pouts, and I skip a beat in the wetness of my existence. the flies keep their distance while the hummingbird knocks at my window, a messenger in disguise as I parcel out winged messages to those calling on a SOS this is who I am my earth is my new home.
