Earning Respect

They say respect your elders, but what about me? Can they not see what respect should be? How do you tell your child they act like a whore? Is that respect? I wonder more. When you see a man, whoever he may be, You judge by looks and ways so differently. Telling your daughter to beware of those guys, Do you think she has no standards, no eyes? Do you mean she sleeps with whoever she sees? Does she act like a pig, without dignity? Respect isn’t given just because you’re old, It’s earned through actions, through stories told. Next time you say respect your elders, remember this, Elders too are human, not always bliss. Respect should be mutual, earned and true, Not just demanded because of age or view.
