Dying Light
Once, that golden sun embraced me Warming this core of mine Resurrecting it from its apparent death Filling it with mortal feelings. And I watch as that light grew dimmer Feigning blindness to its change Seasons shift and shadow fall The warmth recedes, yet I don’t fall Clutching the fading light. And I remain there, stood by the cliff As the sunset looms Watching her fade away.
