DYING IN SILENCE
In silence, I lay my weary head My final breaths, in quiet dread No whispers, no wails, no mournful sighs Just the stillness, of a lonely demise The world outside, fades from my sight As darkness closes, in endless night I'm lost in the hush, of a soundless space Where shadows dance, without a gentle face No comforting words, no loving tone Just the echoless, silence I've known I'm alone in this, my final hour With only my thoughts, in a silent power The silence is vast, it's deep and it's wide A heavy blanket, that wraps me inside I'm suffocating, in this quiet despair With no escape, from this soundless snare In silence, I'll slip away from the light Into the darkness, of endless night No sound will mark, my final farewell Just the silence, that echoes through hell CHRISTOPHER EVANS
