DWY... Love Sick
I was quite young when PM Dawn put out one of their classic songs, "Die W/ You." It was part of the Boomerang soundtrack w/ Eddie Murphy, Grace Jones, Robyn Givens, Halle Berry, Martin Lawrence, David Allan Grier & The Late John Witherspoon. When Prince B sung the chord... "Is it my turn to wish you were lying here. I tend to dream you when I'm not sleeping...". Tears flew from my eyes and into empty spaces. I was dumbstruck w/ infatuation, love and obsessively drawn to the thought of being famous for being in love. Love Sick. Needing people to stop living their lives just to notice that I'm in love w/ someone and it rules the day. The one-sidedness of it all. The aloof third-eye of my mind just begging for misdirection. Needing people to notice that I'm in love is never love at all.
