Dust
Here In this amber lit room Lies the hopes and dreams Of my heart's desires Pain is keeping my feelings From overflowing and bursting at the seams Sitting here with the dinner I prepared With a lovely rose in my hair The only thing that sits across from me Is the memory of you Do you care...did you ever care? The air goes from warm and comforting To cold and lonely. Is it me?.. probably Did I push you away? More than likely Walking down these hallowed halls I can't stop thinking about how to Bury these feelings once and for all Because all they do is disturb and repell I guess..it's safe to say that the ship has sailed... Here lies trying to win your attention Here lies the butterflies from your affection Here lies what we could never be... Ashes to ashes Dust to dust
