Dusk and the dust
Dusk came riding on the wind, Whispering secrets time would splinter, Casting gloom upon the tinder. Dust rose softly, memories pinned, Lingering in the twilight's glow, Whispers of a long lost woe. Love once bloomed, a flower thinned, Petals fell like autumn's grace, Leaving only empty space. Time, the thief, so quick to skid, Slipped within its hollow shell, Leaving tales we cannot tell. Dusk came riding on the wind, Whispering secrets time would splinter, Casting gloom upon the tinder. Dust danced 'round, each mote rescind, Echoing forgotten sighs, Sorrows hidden in disguise. Loss, a specter, veiled and thinned, Cloaked in shadows of regret, Leaving scars we can't forget. Time, the reaper, always thinned, Claiming what we hold so dear, Fading whispers in our ear. Dusk came riding on the wind, Whispering secrets time would splinter, Casting gloom upon the tinder. Dust settled, silence unpinned, Specks of what was left behind, Memories lost, eternally entwined. Love, a flame once brightly finned, Now a flicker, dim and cold, Lost within the tales untold. Time, relentless, never pinned, Marches on with steady pace, Leaving only empty space.
