Dry on Water
Some fishes try to be dry on water— denying the sea that gave them breath. An impossible act without the Creator. Yet their loudspeakers blare with pride: “We are the perfect fish!” But sincerely, it’s not just their bodies drenched by the sea— inside, they decay, worse than the rest, still wearing the name saint. All this—to impress who? Don’t say your father, when red oil stains still cling to your skin. Yet your heart burns when you see others who look just like you. So sit—and rethink. You cannot wear the crown of a nature you lack. Bow low in silence, surrender your breath to the One your soul was shaped to seek— and what you seek will surely be found. © Happiness Enobong Inyang
