Drunken hound of oath
The door creaked open It's claws walked in It watched you sleep It stole your sins It made them bigger Put them back in It gave you terrors Left you to spin You jolted up In a cold sweat But it was gone Your sins were set You didn't realize That I was here You went to the kitchen Opened a beer I watched you drink Your life away Fall to the floor Like yesterday But this was different You didn't get up I licked your cheek I saw your cup It was half empty Half filled with sin You had drank plenty You shed your skin I tucked my tail Ran through the door Another fail This time I swore To be more loyal To always love Swore to the soil And the above Swore to my body Swore to my heart Swore to my soul I would restart Restart this life And find the creature Who bore it's claws And had the feature Of stealing sin Making them bigger Put them back in Left you in rigor So I set off To track it down And swear the oath To be it's hound
