Drowning
How do you know when you're drowning? When your body stops swimming? In the middle of the ocean, you start crying, shouting, and screaming. No strength in your hands to start swinging, No air in your lungs—you’re suffocating. Gravity pulling you down—you are falling. The ocean is vast—you can't start walking. How do you know when you're drowning? Everything in your life stops working. Your dreams start shattering. The light is covered by darkness—you can't see the beginning. The hope you had is now in questioning. You start wondering, You’re confused—you stop listening. Your body and soul stop functioning. How do you know when you’re drowning? Why am I denying? Why do I keep on falling? Why am I always hustling? Why can't I hear the clock ticking? Why am I starving? Why do I see myself dying? Oh God, hear me—I have been calling. Is it my mind that is broken? Do I need fixing? This can't be the ending. How do you know you’re drowning?
