drowned in red
A shadow lingers where the laughter died, was it worth it? After all this my hands are tied, were they? A line burning red where the blade fell, was it the only way to feel? I got nothing left to do but dwell, what if there was something? The thoughts settle in, when the bath overflows. Red stains slowely creep up, into my favourite clothes. My mum bangs on the door, why is there so much water on the floor? Powerless yet, is it too late for regret? The knocking grows louder, a voice filled with fear, but the red water in my ears make it hard to hear. Fingers go numb as I sink down below, do I stay, do I fight, do I let go? No more questions, no more weight. Just a hollow echo left to fate. The knocking fades, the red runs deep. And finnaly, finnaly I fall asleep.
