"Drift"
Every day is daunting, The river of time only flows one way. The weight of it all, like bricks tied to my feet, Dragging, sinking me below, As I watch the current flow— Ever so rapidly, it passes me by. I gasp for air, The cold water sapping away The little time I have. Then I woke up, Only to live the dreaded dream I had— Or was I still dreaming? Reminiscing about the past, A sweet nostalgic pass, A reminder: every moment Will come to pass.
