Dress maker prayer
Additional, subtraction, and division, The math of measurements, a constant revision. Pattern drafting is a big stress, As curves and lines must perfectly impress. With customers not easy to impress, Their expectations high, like a towering dress. And they can't pay the fees, That match the value of my expertise. And my diligence and perfection, Often go unrewarded, without mention. Thinking about the future, because customers can grow fat or slim anytime, And their tastes can change like the wind's whim. Oh God! Help me, You are the first cloth maker in the garden of Eden, And You dressed Adam and Eve in garments of skin, when they needed a covering to hide their shame within. Help me create this ball gown, so beautiful, With every stitch, a work of art, a dream takes shape, a vision unfolds, a beauty to behold. And my skills be appreciated by the British Queen, And she wears my creation with grace unseen, at Buckingham Palace, a royal dream is gleaned. In Jesus' name I have prayed, And with faith, my needle and thread are guided, to create a masterpiece, that's truly divine.
