Dreams Deferred
Dreams that dance on fingertips, Elusive, fleeting, like a wisp. Those that linger, hard to grasp, Are often treasures, meant to last. They tempt and tease, a siren's call, A promise of a world that's all. But chase them too, with reckless might, And lose the beauty of their light. For dreams deferred, a bittersweet fate, A memory cherished, a longing great. They stay with us, a guiding star, A reminder of what we could be far. So let them dance, these dreams untold, A precious treasure, to be held. For in their silence, they inspire, A flame of hope, a burning desire. ©️DLC 2024
