Dream A Dream
When we dream a dream, It's not just a scheme; For dreams build our mindscapes, our self esteem. Some dreams are nightmares Expressing our scares; Mostly attacking when we're unawares. A dream is a thought That will come to naught If the dreamer hasn't aspirations sought. But we must confide, With dreams we abide; They often become our daily guide. Dreams can lead us on, To help get things done, Encourage efforts and inspiration. Often dreams will go Either fast or slow To many far-off places we don't know. Some dreams we can share With others who care; Who, even without dreams, still would be there. But without our dreams As strange as it seems Instead of dreaming, we'd be chasing moonbeams.
