Dream
It's a hollow feeling you know... Mourning the laughter and love The heartaches and resolves Of a family you never had It seems bollocks, ridiculous even That I have it in me to cry with my soul To howl emptiness into my lungs And to shatter my right mind For something I've never even grazed Something that was illusory to my mind Completely different people too in fact Because the ones I wanted to imagine I cannot even manifest into a picture I don't know what they look like I don't know their voices I don't know their love...not really I only assume it in spirit...I let it drive me And it makes me want to keep pushing But every once in a while I let it register...that this love that drives me Is one I have assumed Maybe even made up... Just as those laughters were Those warm embraces From my mother's children It feels bittersweet It's good to know I still dream of it But hurts when I'm the only one who wakes from it. -Vayno
