The crimson thread, at birth unseen, unheard, Lay coiled within the chambers of the soul, A fragile whisper, waiting for a word, A silent story longing to unroll. Then, lightning struck across a mundane sky, A glance, a touch, a voice that held the sun. The thread awoke, a vibrant, piercing cry, And life before seemed colorless and done. It stretched and strained, a vine that fiercely grew, Entwining hearts in intricate embrace. Each shared delight, a drop of morning dew That nourished roots in time and space. But shadows lurked where sunlight used to gleam, And whispers turned to thunder in the air. The silken cord, once vibrant as a dream, Began to fray beneath the weight of care. A harsh word spoken, like a cruel sharp stone, Could sever strands that ages helped to bind. Misunderstandings, fiercely overgrown, Obscured the path the tangled hearts must find. The vine, once flourishing, began to choke, Its leaves turned brittle, edges sharp and cold. Each bitter tear, a devastating stroke, A story tragically, starkly told.
