Draining
The colors fade, noise dissipates, now you're just waiting on the rain. Murphy's law seems to use any as an example for pain. Where were you when life drained, yet you feigned strength? What thoughts were in your head, which were you taking to bed? I wonder about the jail you've made in your mind, the one you spend so much time clinging to. The cold, steel bars wrap around your heart, leaving you breathless. Who led you down this path of regrets, a boiling blood bath of dreams? The schemes that happen behind the scenes are obscene to purpose. You are in the driver's seat, with the power to meet and greet that purpose; The sense of life that strife cannot take away, the one that beckons, "come out and play." All it takes is for the Light to touch those unseen places, to put a name to those destructive faces. Let Hope arise.
