Dragon thoughts
the flames that climb high scorching the land, yet they no longer burn my heart. the smoke speaks my return. the snow melts under dragons' breath as houses fall to the roars of death. they called me a fool for seeing the light in the fire.throughout the seasons I've learned, and I've trained. Now, my dragons and I return to bring the flame. staring at my father's disappointed face as he broke the bond and told me I wasn't his son. Did you expect me to continue to fight in your war? did you think you'd won. now look what I've become. I saw the hope in the flames, but you looked at me with such disdain. I tried to reason and tried to explain, but you hear only what you see. that day you destroyed all we could be. Now You ask me how can I destroy my home and kill my own. do you not know? this place was never my home. from the moment I entered the world, you decided I wasn't enough. from the moment i took my first breath, you chose to reject. In truth, I was born to ride the sky. if only you could open your eyes. but it's too late for you to see because now I've found what I seek. the family who wants me. now die.
