Draft in Blue
Maybe tomorrow I'll dare to write a letter that sounds like me, that reflects my essence. Perhaps, with each word, he could imagine me singing those ballads that, although they made me so sad, poured out of my soul with overflowing sincerity. I want him to feel how deeply blue I am, and remember how spontaneous I was when I needed a kiss, that I was not always getting. I would give it such a creative title that it would make him smile just by seeing it, and a farewell that would leave him wanting to keep reading, tempting him to write me back, even though he can no longer do so. I will leave the note at his door, hoping that he will be the first to find it when he gets up. I don't want his neighbor in the grave next door to take it by mistake, because I would be very embarrassed, or worse, left forgotten.
