Down There In The River
Down there in the river The freezing water flows. It covers up the body, And destroys what one knows. It soaks up all your passion And takes away your pain. But once you're in the water, You can't go home again. The water is so cold that It takes your breath away And the current pulls you under; Forces you to stay. If your loving heart is broken, And you don't know what to do, Please don't go into the river, Although you think your life is through. Just give someone a chance, To meet you some bright day. And be your perfect person; To take your heart away. I know it's hard to believe it; This truth I'm telling you. Your true love is out there somewhere, Looking for you too.
