Down in a Hole
Down in a hole dirt falling all around me. Each grain of sand that lands at my feet is every tear drop wasted that I tried to keep. Every time I close my eyes the earth darkens and swallows me from the inside. Lost in my thoughts, a coward to this rage. I regroup and try to turn the page ... ... Do you know what it's like to dream? Do you know what it's like to love and let go? Trying to be strong and not let the feelings show. I pull myself to the lip of the edge. Conscious of everything I've ever said. I'm not willing to fail again, succumb to my nightmares and drown in this dirt pit. This hell of a life, how can I pull myself out?
