DON'T CRY FOR ME
In the depths of my heart, where love once bloomed, You held me close, but our connection was doomed. I gave you my all, with every beat of my chest, But you took it for granted, and put it to rest. Don't cry for me, for I have moved on, From the pain and the hurt that you have drawn. I've learned my lesson, though it came with a cost, That love can be fragile, and easily lost. I offered you devotion, pure and true, But you treated it lightly, like morning dew. You played with my emotions, without a care, Leaving me broken, in a state of despair. But don't cry for me, for I have grown strong, I've built up my walls, where you don't belong. I've learned to cherish the love I possess, And save it for someone who truly impress. You may have taken me and my love for granted, But I've found my worth, and I won't be slanted. I'm moving forward, leaving you behind, With a newfound strength, and peace of mind. So don't cry for me, for I'm no longer yours, I've closed that chapter, and opened new doors. I'll find happiness, in a love that's sincere, And leave behind the pain, that you caused, my dear.
