Dog
I whine for your attention, But you cover my mouth, I believed you were good That you were kind I trusted you, took you as my religion, And you hurt me, Now I bare my teeth without meaning to, I promise I am kind, I promise I am good, I don't know why I bite, I don't know why I growl, I just want to say that I lied, That all the stuff I said never happened, To be a coward and back down like you told me I would do, Now every friend I own has to see a scared dog, That can only wish they'd met earlier, So they had a chance to see a softer dog. Now a feral beast lays in the back of my throat, So angry from the unfairness of my life, It can't help but snip at any hand that feeds me.
