Do You Still Love Me?
Do You Still Love Me Mark Cougan ? You tell me that you love me, But your actions say far less. Your words are wrapped in promises, Your silence leaves a mess. You never reach to hold my hand, Or pull me close to you. The warmth I long to feel each day Has slowly slipped from view. Your touch has become a stranger, A memory fading away. The simplest signs of tenderness Never seem to find their way. I wonder if I've become a burden, Another weight you have to bear. Like showing me affection Is a task you no longer care to share. I sit here lost and hurting, Confused about where I belong. Questioning your true intentions, Wondering what went wrong. I walk on eggshells every day, Afraid I'm not enough. Trying to earn the love I crave, When loving me seems rough. I don't ask for diamonds or grand displays, Just a hug, a kiss, your hand in mine. A moment where I know I'm wanted, A love that doesn't feel confined. Because love is more than spoken words, It's found in what we do. And lately I've been feeling Like there's no room left for two. So tell me honestly, my love, Before my heart breaks clean in two... Do you still see the woman you fell for, Or have I simply become invisible to you?
