Do You
Do you need to blame me?, Will that give you the courage to call?, Do you need to deny the hurt you gave me?, Will that make you happy?, Feel some power, In control of something, Did you grow up enough?, To shed some baggage, Or are you just the same, Still hurting me by denying contact, The silent treatment was your favorite, You said it was to keep from saying something you'd regret, But we both know better, Cause there were plenty of times when the brakes on your tounge failed, See the hurt your causing is worse every day, Because I keep making excuses, Explaining to myself that you are just not ready, Or don't want to get yelled at, But I'm running out of excuses for you, And I'm getting tired of the repetition of every day, Dealing with this chasm you won't cross
