Distracted
I felt good about myself a while ago, a work in progress, with a steady flow. Productive each day, my future in sight, till a day came around and dimmed my light. The candle that once used to brighten my way slowly lost its light and started to fade away. I'm the one who has to blame, so immature, so irresponsible, so lame. Not in control of myself, it seems, just stress getting into me, and my dreams. I'm roasting myself because I'm ashamed, of my actions, of the times, and of the chances I wasted. even the things I couldn't control, still weigh a lot and burden my soul. Despite still having the ability to choose, I wonder why I changed and started to lose. There's so much work piled up around me now, and I keep asking myself why and how. I get drastically distracted by useless or meaningless things, while temptation within me constantly sings. Pulling me farther from who I should be, making it harder to set myself free. Like a warrior who once stood proud and tall, but grew weak and low after each little fall. Thus, I'm still lost with no clear clue, how long this road will carry me through. But one thing remains, and I know it's true I still need to take action and grind through.
