"Distant Sunset"

My heart like a sunset falling into darkness, our time spent under the sun has ended, full of nostalgia and passion a moment that was rare, we dance through life together, as the sky turned shades of blue and orange, Dusk painted the sky, our dance wished it had lasted, we headed back to the hotel we laid in silence, needing not a word to be spoken, we just stared at each other with alcohol on our breath, we kissed, I drove her to the airport and we kissed and hugged said our goodbyes.
