Disappointed
Every day I am renewed. The woe of yesterday has been cast into the void of the past I wake to a hope, so very askew Losing the memory of last night's pain brings a refreshed desire for a love I would like to acquire- one I shall not obtain. It is not my choice I do not have a say You have chosen this way your little cricket, your conscience voice To you, love is not given It is something earned This is why you've yearned and why I have forgiven It is simply not a choice No, not one that you could make no matter what is at stake You will not run nor will you chase A subtle remembrance creeps through the day- The desire for the depths of love, is only something that I can dream of. So I will dream of you while I lay If dreams do come true then someday I pray that you would stumble upon the way. That God would bless you. That you would be renewed Then, I wouldn't feel the strife that you drag through my life. That you would feel gratitude- and to love true for the one who loves you
