Differences
Don’t know which way is up or down, Stuck in suspension between sky and ground, Trying to move left while you pull me right, You’re the warm day and I’m the cold night, You hold on loosely, I hold too tight, I say it’s dark while you call it light, You are the desert and I am the sea, Drifting apart in synchronicity, I am the stars and you are the moon, Singing together but slightly out of tune, I want forever but you want today, Hoping you’ll stay, not drift away, You take it slow and I move too fast, Living the moment, I’m chasing the past, You are the tortoise and I am the hare, Different in ways, but still a pair.
