Devilish Delusion
I wear scars upon my heart as proof that it was real That the demons I was made to fight weren't a delusion in my mind made real I have looked the devil in the face I've felt his lips of fire And I have fallen far from saving grace and those I once admired I have been a top the mountains and fell crashing to the valley below and for anyone who thought the valleys were as far as one can go-- The earth can crumble beneath your feet and scatter in a flash Then you fall down the rabbits hole into evil's grasp The lows down in the valley are as good as mountain top tales When you're reaching from the bottom through the grates of the pits of hell Where no light can reach you and you can't see, as the heat from eternal flames and your weak flesh meet And that devil, he's sure handsome With those piercing blue, lying eyes and his tongue, sharp as a dagger sugar coated with sweet little lies Soon you're entrapped in his scandalous snare With promises forever that you'd both be together forever, a pair At first, he is prince charming And soon the masquerade is over and the mask and costume falls And there you stand face to face Clearly, now you see him, No longer a prince you see A beast who won't let you go...
