Devil
Am I the devil reincarnated? or simply lost, miscalculated? In shadow deep, I roam, I tread, with questions swirling in my head. I look upon the mirror's face, and see a stranger in my place. eyes that smoulder, dark as night, a flicker of infernal light. But is it fire, or just the past? echoes of mistakes that last? do demons dwell within my skin, or guilt, regret, and sin? I feel the weight of countless years, a burden soaked in ancient fears. Yet through the haze, a spark of grace, a longing for a warmer place. If I were evil, through and through, could I still dream of skies blue? could I still crave a tender touch, or yearn for love, and feel it? perhaps the devil's cloak I wear. Is but a shroud of my despair. a shell that cracks with every tear.
