Love isn't just a feeling nor a singular action, some may call it a sacrifice but if you love them, why see it that way? as if it's a burden, giving up your happiness for them. I say loving someone is a revolution within oneself, looking at the world through a new lens, rewriting your way of thinking and living, not changing yourself but moreso adapting to no longer being an individual and having a spiritual tie to another soul. It's being capable of putting someone else's needs before or at least at the same level of priority as yours without regret. Love is a not just a language but a plethora of them. Down to detecting even the smallest of changes in their body language, you need to learn every little detail about them and be able to understand and speak a lingua Franca created specifically for you. Though it hasn't been in a relationship, I'm glad to say that I have been blessed to have experienced true love. The blood of the covenant is in reality thicker than the water of the womb.
