Desperation
hearken unto the merciless pleas of the unprivileged. intercede for my cause. scabs have reopened. the pain feels worse than the first time. And I am bound ,held captive. A prisoner to my own mistakes. slave to the mentality I have curated. brainwashed by the systems of this world. belittled by my very own. adorned with shame and despair. if only my stresses could disappear. Be gone ! like a mist or vapor. But no, I sit with heaviness. I sleep with him -the unwanted guest. I wake up tormented and miserable. I watch my goals slip through my hands while I clasp them beneath my head. all in hopes that one all my problems will decide she has had enough, we should depart..
