desperate plea
The blade's cold edge, a tempting gleam, A shadowed path, a silent scream. A sin, they say, a life undone, Yet hope remains, a setting sun. A promise made, a whispered vow, To one beloved, here and now. To rise above, to strive, to fight, Against the darkness, and the night. Silent tears, a hidden grief, A forced facade, beyond belief. The pain runs deep, a hidden scar, A soul in torment, near and far. The blade descends, a crimson trace, One, two, three cuts, a frantic pace. The blood flows free, a mournful tide, As silent sobs, the heart confide. A whispered prayer, a desperate plea, For solace found, for peace to be. But strength remains, a fragile thread, A promise kept, though hope lies dead.
