Descent into the Abyss
I’m a soul tangled in shadows, where the light dares not reach, A mind cluttered with echoes of a pain that will never breach. I’m an addict to pretty little lines, a fleeting escape, A lover to poison, in numbness, I drape. My heart, a battleground of relentless anxiety’s hold, Fights against the darkness, a story never fully told. I chase the fleeting highs, the cruel comfort of decay, As the poison seeps in, washing the torment away. These lines of fleeting beauty, they promise sweet release, Yet bind me tighter, a cruel dance with my inner beast. My days blend into nights, a numb, intoxicating blur, Where every fleeting high feels like a fleeting cure. The poison, my solace, numbs the edge of each cruel thought, Yet deepens the abyss, where hope is often caught. I am the ghost in the ruins, a shattered soul in the fray, Lost in a haze of addiction, where the light fades away.In the silence of the dark, where shadows softly scream, I am both the broken and the dream. Bound by the lines, the poison, and my fears untamed, In this descent into the abyss, my soul remains unnamed.
