Depression
In the depths of despair I find myself lost A heavy weight upon my chest a never-ending cost The darkness surrounds me suffocating my soul I try to break free but I can't seem to control The tears fall like rain a never-ending stream I try to smile but it feels like a dream The world keeps spinning but I'm stuck in place Lost in my thoughts trapped in this space I reach out for help but no one seems to hear I'm drowning in sorrow consumed by fear I long for the light a glimmer of hope But all I feel is the tightening rope Depression grips me a relentless foe I try to fight back but it won't let go I cling to the memories of happier days Hoping for a way out of this maze But for now I'll sit in the darkness alone Lost in my thoughts with a heart made of stone I'll hold onto hope no matter how small And pray for the day when I'll stand tall
