Departed
In the depths of loss, hope eludes, Time slips by, leaving scars bruised. Who am I in this empty space, Lost identity, a fading trace. In flames of sacrifice, I roam, Paths of sorrow, far from home. Questions swirl, thoughts entwine, Lost in the maze of the mind. Why do I wear this mask of disdain, When politeness within me reigns? For whose respect, this sacrifice made, Yet deemed inferior, in shadows fade. Love, a gentle breeze, cannot be forced, In its absence, life feels coerced. Incomplete love, a painful strife, Echoes of words, haunting life. Memories linger, like a bittersweet song, In the silence, where hearts long. Yet from the ashes, a tale unfolds, Of resilience, in stories untold. Through the pain, a beauty lies, In every tear, a hope that flies. For in the end, love's true measure, Is found in the heart's treasure.
