Den of life
Once upon a time, I was all alone before I could realize it, thrown into a den. A den where lions, sheep, and foxes eat from the same plate. A den where a laugh that was once laughed with the heart disappears, but is searched for with tears endlessly under the hot, scorching sun. Searched for with tears, sweat, dignity, and the flames of hope. A den where the morning alarm turns into drums of war, for reality is about to attack. A den where the shark invites you to dinner. A den where everything has a price tag. A den where silent tears are never heard or understood. A den where dignity is either sold or hides behind a fake smile. A den more like a void. A den of endless words. That's the den I was thrown into. It may have its own light, but I was left on the dark side, only to ever wish to see the light. This den I was thrown into is not a den of lions, it's a den of life. Message
