Demons
I'm well acquainted with demons that live in my head, They beg me to release them so they'll never die when I'm dead. I can't help this awful energy, it's a relentless, haunting plea, I'm trapped in this despair, it clings like a ghostly decree. I guess it helps that I no longer pace round for hours empty, or jump at the slightest of sounds, But I couldn't stand the person inside me, I turned all the mirrors around. The energy within, a toxic, suffocating weight, Drains my hope, seals my cruel fate. I'm trapped in this torment, with no way to hide, From the horrors of the darkness that forever reside. Iavoiding my own reflection's gaze, For the sight of the person within leaves me in a daze. A prisoner of my own mind, I'm lost in despair, Trapped in a cycle of misery and wear. This melancholy symphony plays in my soul, As the demons in my head tighten their hold. I can't escape the pain, the misery's embrace, And all I long for is a moment of grace. In this abyss of darkness, I'm bound to dwell, In the haunting embrace of this desolate spell. I'm well acquainted with these demons that I dread, And I fear they'll never leave, even after I'm dead.
