Demise
Do you recall abandoning me to drown, With no escape, how tender of you, my love? Aimed directly at my heart and throat, My spirit perished, But now, reborn. Standing amidst the tempest's fury, All odds stacked against me, Yet I persist, I breathe, Clutching onto the remnants you left behind. I cling to a memory, As anguish seeps in, enveloping me, I see and feel nothing, Longing for an alternate path, free from fateful decree. I am powerless over this chosen course, You commanded me to depart, so I must comply, The agony consumes me, constricting my throat, Burning, stinging, I beg for release. Falling harder than ever before, No doctor can lift me from this desolate floor. Silently, I lie, in slumber I sought solace, Never desiring violence, Now merely a forgotten remnant, Replaced, with nowhere to go. How heavily this heart weighs, Buried deep within the icy snow, I shiver, left to endure the bitter cold. Written by AfterDeath_XXX
