Delusions
My eyes sat heavy on my brows, My heart threatened to shoot out of its bow. I was wallowing in this wine of isolation, and by every means feeling delusional. I pretend I'm in a world where I'm royalty, where I yield power and sovereignty. There I'm the ultimate, unclothed without shreds of hate. I was high on life, and dancing to the beats of the highlife. Love surrounds me like halo, and I clung to it with so much ardour. But then sobriety, sobriety! knocks me back to reality, back to this world of chess, to be played on as a pawn under the king's duress. With no emotions to feel! Still my heart ached, my heart ached! not for pain, but for love, for comfort and for company on my deserted island. Delusions trick me Delulu but not trululu I am king in that world But in trululu, am I? A world that lives rent free iny head!
