delilah.
I can feel you betraying me. I have lost my girl who still appears to me each day yet wearing a different face where have you gone? I now pour my heart out to blue lines and beg for my ink to return you from whatever beautiful mirage is without me. I plead for the skin you wear to let me see YOU once again even if it's only for a proper goodbye. now I no longer understand. and I believe the face I had known has died. because the more I've twisted my own flesh into your image is the more you've become what you had sworn to hate. it's sadistic. cackling at poking those who we used to be. had you forgotten? through who you pretend to be the color of mirrors had become an irrefutable sickly deep gray. I'm sick of waiting for your return. I don't believe you will. unless your royal court throws you out again. at least then you'll hold me how you used to until you cut my hair once more. I miss you, Delilah.
