Déjà Vu
A glance, a grin, a fallen leaf A moment quick beyond belief I've seen this all yet never did A memory time itself must've hid The voice breaks before it speaks Then crumbles down in silent peaks The pages turn before I read My memories sprout phantom seed I turn, I pause and then stare A flicker hums inside the air This path, this sound, this sky so blue Why does it feel like i always knew? I feel the step I didn't take The floor sighs low, the silence aches It drips in moments half - alive But slips before I can arive Is it a glitch? a dream I met? A memory my brain forgot to forget Or some old thread from lives before Unravelling through a hidden door A voice, A laugh, a drifting tune Like whispers from a ghostly moon My mind insists " Oh you've been here too" Though time says "no this isn't true" — Chaitanya
