DEEP WITHIN
Deep within, a silent storm brews, Hidden tears, concealed from view. A smile adorns my face so bright, Yet anguish dwells in the depths of night. You may not witness my tears cascade, Or the pain that lingers, unafraid. But beneath the mask I wear each day, A heartache lingers, refusing to sway. For what you see is merely a guise, A shield protecting my inner cries. Behind the laughter, a soul may weep, A secret sorrow buried so deep. But do not pity or feel despair, For strength resides in the depths of there. In darkness, seeds of resilience grow, And from the shadows, courage will show. So remember, dear friend, as life unfolds, That sometimes the strongest hearts hold A world of emotions, untold and unseen, Yet still, they strive, with grace, serene. -Romique-
