Decisions release.
In a distant realm, I chose to roam, Expecting nothing, feeling at home. Emotions muted, let them die, To live my best, beneath the sky. Choices made, mistakes I’ve known, Haunting whispers, seeds once sown. But I decided, let them fade, To find the peace I’d always prayed. Once felt alone, but I’m not, In darkness, lessons I have sought. Hurt those who trusted, no excuse, Broken pieces, now let loose. Moving on, a climb so steep, Loving again, a vow to keep. Let go of pain, embrace the light, Choose to never cause a fight. Without a soulmate, still I strive, To make those near me feel alive. Love those who love, and those who hate, Trusting freely, accepting fate. Confide in others, risk the fall, Knowing well it could end it all. Flatline feelings that bring me low, Misery, unloved, let them go. I choose to live, to rise anew, With love and hope in all I do. In a world of hurt, I’ll stand tall, Living with love, above it all.
