DECEMBER AT LAST!
At last, December, you’re here. This year has truly been something else. Some days were just hard. Waking up felt heavy, my mind racing to places I didn’t want to go. Sometimes, just getting through was the only goal. But then, there was a quiet. In the middle of the noise, a calm settled. I know it was God. A feeling I wasn’t alone, like He was sitting with me in the car, in the quiet room. Giving me just enough air for the next minute, the next hour. And my people,I don’t know what I’d have done. Mom’s voice checking in. Siblings calling me to order. Friends who didn’t need the story, just said, “I’m here.” That saved me. I did things I’m proud of, too. Stepped outside my comfort zone, fixed what I’d avoided, learned to say “I’m not okay” and let that be enough. I’m kinder to myself now. That’s a win. So December, you’re the end of a chapter that tried me. But you’re also proof. Proof I can bend and not break. Proof I’m loved, even in my mess. Proof a hard season can end with me still standing,a little wiser, a little softer. I made it. We made it. And I’m here.
