December & I
December does something to me. I don’t even know how to explain it, but the moment that cold breeze hits, I feel calm in a way my heart understands even when my mouth can’t put it into words, maybe it’s because I was born in this month. Maybe it’s because winter feels like home. But every December, it’s like my soul exhales. The year is ending, du’as are rising, and I start dreaming again — praying that my next year will be full of barakah, full of love, full of happiness, full of iman that stays steady in my chest. And it’s not even about my birthday or the cold. There’s just something about this month… the chilliness, the softness, the way the world suddenly feels quieter, as if it’s telling me, “Rest. Breathe. Hope again. ”December feels like a page Allah saved for me — a page where everything slows down, where my heart feels seen, where calm wraps itself around me like a blanket. And maybe that’s why I love it so much. Because in December, I feel closest to myself. Closest to peace. Closest to the girl I want to be. December isn’t just my month. It’s who I am. ❄️✨
