Deathbed
In the silence of the chamber, where tears slowly fall, The end of the journey, a curtain call. Countless roads taken, heavy load under my chest, Once I reach the gates above, my soul shall begin to rest. In this final moment's hush, where the end seems bittersweet, Before my very eyes, a hooded figure comes to greet. So I drift into silence, my heart calm and free, I took it's hand, guiding where spirit's meant to be. In this deathbed's quiet moment, the last breath began to fade, And the final chords of living prayed, in a soft and still cascade.
